Graceful, vigorous, deciduous conifer. Fresh-green needle-like foliage changing to gold or russet in November. From an early age many attractive conical cones are produced annually. Reddish-brown shoots conspicuous in winter. Any ordinary moist soil. Avoid very exposed positions. CONIFER 60ft x 25ft (18m x 7.6m) in 20 years, ultimate height 100ft (30m).
