Pelargonium zonale Maverick Star F2

From the stable of top quality Geraniums comes this impressive strain which boasts attractive, bicoloured blooms of vibrant pink and white. It is earlier flowering, and produces more flower stems than conventional Geraniums.

Sowing Instructions. Sow January to March. Germinate at a constant soil temperature of 20-30C (68-86F) on the surface of a good free draining seed compost. Apply a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 3-21 days.

Growing Instructions. Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. After 5-6 weeks, move to 10cm (4in) pots. Begin regular liquid feeds 3-4 weeks after final potting. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart in a sunny spot.
