"Breakthrough" is very early, very dwarf and compact, the fragrant flowers stay open all day and while they will begin flowering almost as soon as you plant them out they will continue unabated until the autumn. They bring colour to beds, borders, containers etc. Flowers mid summer to autumn. Height 10-12in.
Sowing Instructions. Sow on the surface of the compost from late winter to early spring in John Innes Seed Compost. Make sure that the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 7-20 days at 21C (70F). Do not exclude light which is beneficial to germination.
Growing Instructions. Transplant when large enough to handle and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost 30cm (12in) apart in a sunny spot on light well drained soil.
