A first class variety for bedding, hanging baskets and tubs. Bred with emphasis on seedling vigour and uniformity, the plants have a good free flowering habit and look superb en masse. The flowers are large with most of the colours in the range having attractive veining, which gives more substance to the flowers and enables them to recover more quickly after bad weather. Flowers summer to first frost. Hgt. 30cm (12in).
Sowing Instructions. Sow late winter to mid spring at 21-24C (70-75F) on the surface of a good seed compost and gently firm down. Keep damp but not wet. Do not exclude light, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful. Germination usually takes 10-21 days.
Growing Instructions. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart in a sunny spot on light well drained soil. For pot plants, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots; grow cool, well ventilated, give plenty of light, but shade from direct sun.
