Fast growing evergreen with silver-blue very striking rounded juvenile leaves, changing to lance-shaped, 2-3 inch (5-7.5 cm) long when mature. Attractive whitish-green bark which sheds annually revealing yellow to grey-green new bark. Aromatic in hot sun. Can be grown as a coppiced shrub for its outstanding juvenile foliage, or as a tree. TREE 45ft x 15ft (14m x 4.6m) in 20 years, ultimate height 80ft (24m).
