This variety is similar to Kanzan, but, unusual for cherries, it has very attractive deep purple leaves which tone beautifully with the large clusters of deep pink double flowers. Good autumn colouring and also beautiful coppery-red glossy peeling bark. Excellent, unusual small tree. TREE 15ft x 12ft (4.6m x 3.7m) in 20 years, ultimate height 20ft (6m).
