Very hardy, fast growing, evergreen tree with glaucous shoots, twigs covered with waxy white bloom and grey-green flaking bark. Grey-green lance-shaped leaves and small creamy-white flowers late spring and summer. Aromatic in hot sun. Can be grown as a coppiced shrub for its outstanding juvenile foliage, or as a tree.
